Been a while since I've written anything new. Still in Melbourne, and I'm living in a shared house with 5 other people. Probably wrote about this a bit before, but I s'pose I'll do it again. It's a good situation for us here because it's all furnished, and there is no need to register for electricity or hydro. I have a job, but it's pretty pathetic. I work one day a week at a video store. The shift usually lasts an average of 3 hours. I'm quite pleased with it though because I get free movies. Pretty good trade for three hours of work...plus I get paid, so that's good too. Work is not difficult to find here, but I've been somewhat distracted as of late, and decided to postpone working for a while...going to start actually searching tomorrow as my distraction just left for Sydney tonight. It sucks when distractions leave and reality sets in again.
Christmas was alright. Ate a lot of food and hung out with the housemates. Mike is a chef, so he prepared a stellar dinner.
If I don't find a good high paying job here in Melbourne, I'm going to ship off to the outback and do some farm work or fruit picking. Seems like the thing to do if you want to make some fast money.
Well, that's it for now.

The first picture is me in Fiji on an island called Naviti. Our resort was garbage, we were underfed and the weather was bad, and I had mosquito bites and open wounds all over me. So if I look upset, that's why. The second is me in a cafe in Nimbin. Enough said. Then we have a beach in Noosa. It was a long hike past a gorge called Hells Gate. Once we made it past hells gate, we saw this view. Hell isn't everything it was cracked up to be I guess. Next, sunrise on the high seas during our Whitsundays trip on the sailboat. Finally, not the greatest background, but the picture has all three of us in it. Sean, Ian and yours truely. I don't know why Ian was looking at me like that.
More picutres to come.

Here are some pictures from my trip. They're mostly of the Whitsundays right now, but I'll add more later. My fiji pics aren't on me at the moment, and I started at the begining of the ones I have, so that's what came out. Also, that's a crocodile we stumbled upon while walking along the beach at cape tribulation (Australia).

As seen here, we did a lot of snorkling...and almost died twice in Fiji while doing it. (see previous entry). Also, there's me in front of the Sydney opera house. Turns out it really does exist.

I'm currently living in Melbourne. Just put a down payment on a shared house today. We move in on Sunday. I'm still looking for work. Actually I haven't done too much in the way of searching yet. I'd like some film work, but who knows if I'll get that. Otherwise, there doesn't seem to be a shortage of work here, so I'm not too worried...yet. Ian and Sean are gone, and now I'm with Mike, a friend from high school who's been travelling for over 2 years.
A few days ago I went to a casino, with the intention of spending 2 dollars maximum on slots. I lost the first dollar, and then gathered some of my change together to give to the guy at the desk. I asked him to change it into a dollar. "You want a special dollar right?" I said "Yes, I want the right dollar". "I'll find it for you" he said. He gave me the coin. Five minutes later I returned with my 58 dollar winnings. I called it quits right there...don't want to develop a gambling addiction.
Melbourne is a beautiful city. So far I'm really glad I've settled here. I'm also living right by the beach, which makes me happy. Also, I've never seen so many beautiful girls. There must be something in the water. All in all I'm having a pretty good time at the moment. Hope trends continue. Oh yeah, also I saw Casino Royal the other day. Before the show, some guys hear my accent and came up to me and introduced themselves. Said they were in a rock band and had just come back from Spain. I asked them which rock band they were in. Turns out I watched Casino Royal with The New Pornographers. For those of you who don't know, they're a moderately popular rock band that several of my friends are into. Thought you guys might appreciate that.
Well, that's all I have to say for now. Over and out.
