I'm currently living in Melbourne. Just put a down payment on a shared house today. We move in on Sunday. I'm still looking for work. Actually I haven't done too much in the way of searching yet. I'd like some film work, but who knows if I'll get that. Otherwise, there doesn't seem to be a shortage of work here, so I'm not too worried...yet. Ian and Sean are gone, and now I'm with Mike, a friend from high school who's been travelling for over 2 years.
A few days ago I went to a casino, with the intention of spending 2 dollars maximum on slots. I lost the first dollar, and then gathered some of my change together to give to the guy at the desk. I asked him to change it into a dollar. "You want a special dollar right?" I said "Yes, I want the right dollar". "I'll find it for you" he said. He gave me the coin. Five minutes later I returned with my 58 dollar winnings. I called it quits right there...don't want to develop a gambling addiction.
Melbourne is a beautiful city. So far I'm really glad I've settled here. I'm also living right by the beach, which makes me happy. Also, I've never seen so many beautiful girls. There must be something in the water. All in all I'm having a pretty good time at the moment. Hope trends continue. Oh yeah, also I saw Casino Royal the other day. Before the show, some guys hear my accent and came up to me and introduced themselves. Said they were in a rock band and had just come back from Spain. I asked them which rock band they were in. Turns out I watched Casino Royal with The New Pornographers. For those of you who don't know, they're a moderately popular rock band that several of my friends are into. Thought you guys might appreciate that.
Well, that's all I have to say for now. Over and out.

Hey Groupie,
Life sounds blissful! Tell us about your digs and your new roommate. If you don't post before Christmas, have a great one, think of us having our boring dinner with Uncle Stan (my kids favorite uncle) Sorry J.P.I will put a little present in your bank account. Should keep you for another two days.
Love you always,
Auntie Belle

Heyyyyyyyy
That must be exciting, moving in and such. You found a place pretty quickly, and it sounds like a good location. Congrats. I can’t believe you watched a movie with The New Pornographers. I like them a lot. That’s wicked.
Umm let’s see…It’s going to be a green Christmas here. No snow what so ever except for some stubborn patches. What colour is your Christmas going to be?
Instead of putting a present into your bank, I think I will FedEx you some perishable food. Tell me how it arrives.
I’m almost done exams, 1 more to go. So good news for me. But you’re not in school so good news for you too.
hope alll is well!

Mother, I think the Koala poop has a lot to do with it. It seems to be working wonders for my complexion as well. Yes, I watched the movie WITH the New Pornographers. They send their regards and are glad you like their name.
Belle, Life isn't quite blissful...I may gloss over a lot of the negative in these entries...for instance, I was molested by an old man the other day. I'm sure I'll write about it later. And dinners with uncle s(a)tan are never boaring. Especially when he's holding a razor sharp hunting blade to your throat. (This event actually occured in a previous madcap adventure).
Casey, my christmas is going to be yellowish brown...the colour of sand..also grey, the colour of the pavement, and maybe blue for the sky if I'm lucky. Please do send perishables. I love mold more than anything. Congrats on the one more exam. Keep on truckin through. Hope you're still liking school.
